Please consider a small donation in memory of Braxton Cooper Stuntz to begin a charitable Foundation in his name. He was a very special young man who selflessly touched many, many people. He died in a tragic accident along the California coast on January 12, 2019 at 18 years of age. Braxton aspired to be a Surgeon and travelled to Cambodia on medical missions. The money collected will be used to support causes dear to Braxton’s heart such as the Childrens Surgical Centre (Csc.org) which trains Cambodian surgeons and delivers free care to the impoverished people of Phnom Penh. Secondarily, in this country, funds raised will be used to support educational scholarships in Monterey county. If funds allow, we also wish to support his passion of photography and the improvement of the safety and infrastructure of the coastal area where he died.

Please share this link with others who knew him, or with individuals and entities that would wish to support his causes..

We are pleased to announce that the Monterey Peninsula Surgery Center has placed a collection of Braxton's photos in their business building at 920 Cass Street! This gives the space a stunning photo gallery vibe. The staff and guests enjoy looking at his art, appreciating natural beauty, and imagining what the subject meant to Braxton. A large number of the Doctors and staff at MPSC also donated to the Braxton Stuntz Foundation. Ruth and I are very grateful.

Great news: Driven by the generous support of the doctors at Community Hospital, the city of Carmel has approved a memorial bench for Braxton. Braxton’s Bench will be made of a cypress log and positioned on Scenic drive overlooking Carmel beach. Braxton grew up in Carmel and the beach was a big part of his life which makes this a fitting tribute. Stay tuned for a summer event at this site with friends and family in his honor.
