Brain Tumor- Help Harry Come Home

Donation protected

Harold Currier is my Dad. He has always been loyal, hard-working, generous, active, and loving. One of his most lovable qualities is his sense of humor.
A couple of months ago he started complaining of a sense of numbness in his left foot which started making it hard for us to go for our walks and eventually just him getting around the house. He really began to get depressed because he's always on the go. When his left hand started becoming numb we knew it was more than just a pinched nerve. The Friday before Thanksgiving I went to visit him and my mother in the hospital where they had gone for an MRI. I walked in and they were crying. My father told me he had a brain tumor.
That Wednesday, my father underwent surgery and the tumor was biopsied. We tried to remain positive but the prognosis was not good. It turns out he has what is known as a glioblastoma (Stage 4). No more surgery as it is incurable. It is invasive, aggressive, malignant. Most of all, it's devastating.
We are a very close, small family. We would like our Dad to be able to come home and have Christmas with us. He is already in the wheelchair and cannot move the left side of his body. He needs people to help him go to the bathroom and bathe. His radiation and chemo treatments will start soon. They will be 5 days a week for at least 3 weeks at $600 per session. We need the house outfitted with a ramp, a hospital bed downstairs, a commode and we will need a nurse as it is a two person assist to move him anywhere.
My father has all his wits about him and is very sad and scared. It is overwhelming for all of us and we just want to make sure that he has the best quality of life he can.
Part of me was conflicted about setting one of these up. But, it's all I can think of to do besides visiting with him and talking with him as much as I can and helping my mother who was also dealing with my grandmother in a home with dementia.
I have been so lucky in life to have a wonderful mother, father, and brother. I hate to see them suffering emotionally. If you are so inclined to make a donation it is much appreciated.
Thank you so much. I will keep this updated.
