Welcome!
I wish it was under better circumstances but I am reaching out for my family in Tucson, Arizona. My parents house half burnt down, details are still unclear, however, everyone is safe (including the cat and dog, Littles and Kona). It wasn't a gradual fire but one that took most of their possessions away, two cars, clothes, shoes, beds and even toothbrushes. These things are not as important as knowing that my family is safe but I am reaching out for help.
My parents have touched many lives, from my mom being a girl scout leader, my dad starting countless sharks and minnow games, being honest and hardworking business owners, lake trips, hosting countless parties for friends and family and supporting me and my two brothers. I am so proud to call them my parents, they are honestly the most selfless people I have ever met. The kind that would give the shirts off their back to a stranger, even when they don't have any of their own.
My youngest brother, Nick, is graduating from High School this year, in a couple of days, and I am so proud of his accomplishments. Playing football from pop-warner flag to signing to play with Pima Community College next year all while maintaining good grades and remaining a responsible and caring person and brother.
It is hard living in another state knowing what my family is going through. This is a great year for the Tucson Brahlers with Nick graduating and my oldest younger brother, Adrian, getting married to his beautiful fiancé, Olivia. We are celebrating great life accomplishments and milestones but tragedy doesn't wait for convenience. This is now a year to rebuild, a year for family and friends and community to come together to lessen the burden. I ask for whatever you can give to help. Any little bit is a blessing and my family and I are grateful for any support, prayers and kind thoughts.
Thank you sincerely,
Karissa Brahler
