Hi! I am Brady Snakovsky and I am 8 years old. I am from Strongsville, Ohio and I am in the third grade.  I have a passion for helping police officers especially K9 officers and their handlers. One day I hope to become an officer myself! I started my campaign with a goal of collecting enough funds to purchase one ballistic vest for a K9 in need. Through the support of my family, the community and a great company, Line Of Fire Defence Systems, I was able to not only donate 1, but 4 ballistic vests for K9s.

These vests are very expensive, at the cost of $1,200. Line Of Fire Defence is kind enough to give me the Law Enforcement cost which allows me to donate more. Even though the vests are costly it is a very important tool all K9's should have. I work directly with the manufacturer who has an innovative ballistic vest that is top of the line. Their technology offers a vest that is lightweight and helps regulate body heat keeping the K9 cool. It provides ballistic and edged weapon protection for vital organs all while allowing complete freedom of movement. These vests allow the K9 to wear it throughout their entire shift and through training days so they can focus on what they do best.

As I look back at my first goal that I set in 2017 of providing one K9 in need of a vest I am excited at what the future holds. I have learned that there are many wonderful people out there working with my mission to give back. I hope to provide as many vests as I possibly can to the very deserving officers that are out there. Currently, we have a waiting list of 20+ Police Officers who have contacted us in need of a vest. With your help we can help provide them with one. Helping those K9s stay safe as they help us each day in the community is the least I can do. Hopefully one day all K9s are provided with a vest, until then I am here to help those in need of one! Thank you for taking the time to read my campaign and please know I am so very grateful of any contribution you can make!

Thank you,

Hello GoFundMe Family!
We have been a little quiet on the updates lately, but trust me we have been very busy behind scenes- which is great! To date with your help have vested 66 police dogs! Not only is that protecting many awesome K9's stay safe, but is also is taking a lot of stress off the shoulders of their handlers knowing their partner is safe going into an escalated scene.

Soon Brady's K9 Fund will be it's very own business. So stay tuned and I will update you on the website to go to etc. We're just waiting on the IRS approval and we'll be all set. :)

We wanted to share a photo of our most recent K9 to receive a vest... his name is Mackey and he hails from the West Windsor Police Department in New Jersey. He is our first K9 for New Jersey. He is a very smart sweetheart who loves his Dad & Mom! His Dad feels very blessed to have K9 Mackey as a partner! Mackey has an adorable brother who will be retiring from being a police K9 this spring/summer as well. He is a long haired German Shepard (which secretly are my favorite!) named Cherno. So Officer Montgomery thank you so much for all you do for the community of West Windsor and for taking awesome care of K9 Mackey & Cherno!

Please continue to share our story and support for the men and women in blue - both two legged and four!

Meet Casner! K9 Officer Casner is the latest to receive a vest from Brady's K9 Fund. Casner is from the Berlin Police Department in CT. We find his handler to be *extra* special because she is one tough lady! Officer Krzykowski is battling breast cancer for the second time and kicking it's butt..again! We are so proud of Officer Krzykowski and hope this vest to protect her best friend lifts a little stress off her shoulders as she returns back to work in the next week or so! Thank you Officer Casner and Officer Krzykowski for all of your service and support for the community you serve!

Thank YOU to all of our donors that make it possible for Casner to stay safe!

Brady’s K9 Fund wanted to share their condolences to the Bexar County Sheriff Department in Texas. Thoughts and prayers to Chucky’s handler and family as well as we know they are going through a tough time loosing their best friend.

Chucky was shot and killed on January 25, 2019 after being deployed to apprehend a suspect. Chicly was issued a ballistic vest, however his handler did not have the time to put it on him given the quick reaction time needed. This is important because this is an issue many handlers face day to day. Traditional vests cannot be warn through out the K9 shift being that they are heavy and can over heat the dog when left on for long periods of time. They also are large and movement can be obstructed. This is why Brady’s K9 Fund has partnered with a manufacturer who offers a vest that the K9 wears their entire shift. It covers all the K9’s vital organs and allows for full range of movement with breathable technology so the dog does not overheat. This is so important to Brady’s Fund because we want the K9’s to always be protected once they leave their home to make it back to their family after their shift is over.

We know that vest’s are just a small piece of protection issued like our human offers have and that we can still loose lives with them on, but if they have a vest issued, we feel they should be protected full shift.

We hope that K9 Chucky is resting in peace and honor him for giving his life for protecting others. He was such a beautiful 6year old Belgian Malinois that protected his community for 4 years! We wanted to share Chucky’s story with you, our GFM family and show the importance of why we choose the vest that we donate.

Thank you to all of you for your support and kindness!
