This weekend, we lost Brad Dehart suddenly and unexpectedly. He leaves behind his lovely wife Laura and their three young boys. Brad was a truly amazing person who has touched many lives through his teaching, and his music.

Everyone remembers Brad's infectious smile, his warm heart, and his incredibly optimistic attitude about life.

Please give to help support Laura and the children through these tough times that they will be facing. Many of those that Brad has touched are spread far and wide around the country, and even the world, and we have set this up for those who might not be able to be there in person to help.

I was very sad to hear the news today that Brad's mother Cherri has passed away. Hopefully, she and Brad are reunited right now and watching over the entire Dehart family.

As Brad would say, "What a World."

Hey everyone, it's been nearly two months since we lost Brad, and it is just as hard to believe now as it was then. However, I wanted this update to be uplifting, and to share amazing things you.

Throughout this campaign, I've heard from numerous people that Brad had touched: students, parents, teachers and friends. Recently, artist Alyssa Lester got in touch with me and let me know that she has created some fantastic "What a World!" pins that are available to order for $10, with the majority of the profits going to Brad's family.

I think Brad would love these, and would have had one tacked onto his plaid shirts.
You can order them at this link: http://www.alyssa-lester.com/what-a-world/pre-order-what-a-world

Thank you to everyone who has contributed, and who continues to send love to Brad's family. Brad's sister-in-law Carrie set up a fantastic Lotsa Helping Hands community group to help with the family, and they can use your help with everything from helping with meals, babysitting, and just being there. https://my.lotsahelpinghands.com/community/support-for-the-dehart-family

Keep spreading the love, everyone. What a World!

When we started this campaign to show our love for Brad and to support his wife Laura and their boys Isaac, Parker, and Elliott, we had no idea it would receive as much attention as it has. But that's just a testament to Brad. He touched so many people during his life, and we hope those people will touch others in turn and that this love will never stop circling throughout the universe.

We're going to be ending this campaign later today, and we will soon share other means through which you can help support the Dehart family. In the meantime, and in the spirit of Brad, please hug a friend or family member today and let them know how much you love them. What a World.

I just wanted to share this quick update. Many of you know that the campaign was unexpectedly deleted last night and was down for about 12 hours. What I didn't know was that behind the scenes, GoFundMe was working hard to correct this error. The fault was on the side of WePay. the company that GoFundMe uses to accept online payments. Unfortunately the error occurred after hours, and the campaign suffered as a result.

However, this morning GoFundMe restored the campaign along with all of the donations, and just a short while ago one of their representatives called me and said that everyone felt terrible about the error. To make up for it, they made a $5,000 donation to the campaign.

I am extremely grateful. It is nearly impossible to find customer service that goes above and beyond like that. Thank you for making things right and doing more than was necessary. GoFundMe is the reason that this campaign has been so easy to share, and has had such a quick response.

I know Brad's family shares in my thanks, and we all continue to be amazed by the generosity of the human heart.

Brad had the innate ability to make everyone he met feel important and their opinion was of value-no matter if you were a student or a parent. He taught our kids the importance of their opinions and challenged them to express their views. Thank you Brad. We will miss you! Our love and prayers to your family. Mike and Vanessa Drahl

We knew Brad as a young boy and Pastors son at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Rochester MI. Our children were young as well and we had the opportunity to spend time with the DeHarts. I cannot imagine the pain Lynn and Cherri are experiencing. Our hearts are breaking for them. RIP sweet Bradley and god be with your young family. I know you were an excellent father and husband. We pray for your peace!

We've known Brad since he was a little boy. He was always smiling and cheerful. Anyone who knows him, likes him. He was just a really awesome young man. His parents are our long time wonderful friends. We hurt deeply for them, he has a special place in many peoples hearts. It took wonderful parents to raise such a wonderful young man!
