Help Army Veteran After Surgery

Beschermde donatie
I started this gofund me account for my brother in law, Daniel. Daniel is a veteran of the United States Army. He served many tours overseas and fought for this country so that we could be free. During that sacrifice & his last tour, Daniel got hit with an IED blast and little did he know the damage that would soon come towards his neck. He has mild pain after the blast but kept on pushing through his tour and thought nothing of it. After making it back state side, he started suffering from severe neck pain. He went to a doctor who told him that he needed a readjustment from a chiropractor. He did what the doctor said, but it didn't seem to help. He began losing feeling in his arms and legs, had extreme muscle spasms in his lower limbs & was unable to walk. His local VA hospital came to the conclusion that he suffered from herniated discs in C2-C6 which were pushing on his nerves. He required neck fusion surgery and almost instantly began to walk again. Daniel is a hard working husband, & father. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. Four years have since come and gone, however, he began having neck pain again. This time around, C7 was herniated & pushing into his spine. He didn't lose the ability to walk, but was suffering a great deal of pain. But as the sole provider of his family, he tried to push through in order to see to it that his family had what they needed. After being a work & literally having to lift his own leg over a cable, he realized that he needed to go back to the VA regardless of whether or not he had to miss work. That's when they found out that there was a "glitch" in his last surgery, which caused C7 to be the way that it was. He was told that he couldn't leave the VA that day. They admitted him. If he were to of fallen just right, he could of been paralyzed. Thursday, my brother in law had his second neck fusion surgery & has a total of 5 cadiver bones in his neck. The surgery was a success, but unfortunately my brother in law can't work for the minimum of a month. This puts a toll on him because he's such a hard worker & and the sole provider of his family. Although they have some money saved, it's not nearly enough to take care of everything. Daniel is not the type of man to ask everyone for help. This is why I am making this gofund me account. I want to ease his stress and make his recovery more relaxing and less worrisome. He deserves it. He's always been the giver, and now it's his turn to receive. I pray that you find it in your heart to help this Veteran and his family out during this bump in the road. Not to mention that it's the holiday season. My sister is a full time occupational therapy student and is currently in fieldwork. Although close to being finished with school, she can't work at the moment. But fortunately, she can apply all the knowledge she gained through school and assist my brother in law over the next few months. He's currently walker/Cain dependent & also had railings installed into their home today so he can remain safe during the healing process. I want to say thanks in advance for the help. Any amount helps and will go towards bills and every day basics that you need money for. If you can't afford to help, please share this with those who might be able to. God bless you all.
