Do You Wanna Build a Playground?

Bowers Elementary School in Manchester, CT supports a student enrollment of 400+ children in grades K-5. Bowers needs an updated & larger playscape which can accommodate ALL our students.
The playscape at Bowers is old and deteriorating. As a result of its small size, a majority of Bowers students do not get to use the playscape at recess.
In 2016, the Bowers PTA Playground Committee was formed to address needed playscape improvements.
Recently, in June 2017, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and national non-profit KaBOOM! awarded Bowers Elementary School PTA, a $20,000 Let’s Play Video Contest Grant following a national voting competition.
The grant funds will be used to buy additional playground equipment for Bowers Elementary with an anticipated build date of April 2018.
Help is still needed to build our playground! The grand funds strictly cover equipment costs. We must raise an additional $18,000 by December 31, 2017. These additional funds will cover costs associated with shipping, tax, ground excavation, resurfacing and playground installation.
