PPE Body Suits
Donation protected
A key piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a hooded cover-all, or body suit. Due to a national shortage of PPE, many of our front-line MDs do not have access to this when they see patients who may have COVID 19. This puts them at direct risk, as well as potentially their families.
This fundraiser is to support the production of Tyvek body suits for as many of our front line doctors in the Portland/Vancouver region as possible. All funds collected will go to the purchase of materials and direct labor in partnership with our friends at Velonia Boutique, (Vancouver, WA).
If there are surplus funds from the initial batch of those going to front-line physicians, they will be used to construct suits for our other members who are outpatient physicians. Based on the experiences of other areas such as Seattle and Washington, we understand that they may also be asked to work the front-line.
