Our brother, Bobby, needs a heart. Many people have asked how they can help. After a month in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant, as a family, we are ready to answer. We’re asking for your financial support for Bobby and his family.

For the past seven months, he has had several episodes of ventricular tachycardia. This was initially treated with medication. After further episodes, he was treated with an internal defibrillator and pacemaker. Now, he is in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant.

He has been in the hospital for the past month and currently has a pump assisting his heart. He is not a candidate for a portable heart pump. As of now, a heart transplant is the only option.

The past months have been a challenge -- not only for Bobby – but also for his wife, Veronica, and his 15-year-old son & 13-year-old daughter.

For the past six months, Bobby has been unable to work. We’re asking you to help to make up the difference.

The money we raise will help Bobby support his family while he is recovering. He could be out of work for up to a year or more, and we’re hoping to offset including medical costs and living expenses. We are confident in the Lord’s provision and appreciate everyone’s desire to be a part of the journey.

We ask for your prayers and that you consider giving the gift of life by becoming an organ donor.

Last night we made the trip north to Los Angeles. We are now at Cedars-Sinai. Bobby made the trip in a "Big Ambulance". Bobby was in great hands. There was a cardiac surgeon, respiratory tech, three nurses from sharp each monitoring the pumps that are keeping Bobby alive. This was a very technical transport.

As Bobby was transferred from the SICU at Sharp Memorial to the ambulance he was able to see the blue sky and feel the breeze on his face agin. I think for us that was important. After eight weeks in the hospital getting a few minutes outside had to have felt good.

It was a comforting surprise to see that a friend of ours was one of the critical transport nurses taking care of Bobby. Bobby was in good hands!

On arrival to Cedars-Sinai the staff was all business. They were compassionate but focused on keeping Bobby calm and rested.

Over the next 48 hours Cedars -sinai will be evaluating Bobby and performing tests to ensure the best direction to take, giving him the best opportunity for success.

Please continue to keep Bobby in your prayers. We are so thankful for the outpouring of support. You have all been instrumental in getting us this far. God is good and He is faithful. God bless you all.

Hello Everyone,
It’s time for an update. Probably over due but there has been a lot going on. Even though I say a lot we still are waiting. Bobby had a few set backs and challenges. The staff at Sharp Memorial have worked hard. They have saved his life and are keeping him alive. They are keeping him in the fight. No one has thrown in the towel.
At one point Bobby had some fluid in his lungs that didn’t allow good oxygen exchange. The doctors have worked to correct that and now Bobby’s lungs are stronger and able to support him receiving a new heart. He remains on two heart pumps and on a ventilator. The answer is a heart. We really haven’t pushed the Go fund me much and appreciate what wlyiu have all accomplished in your support.

As a family we are working with the Doctors and Nurses and Sharp and considering a transfer to Cedar Sinai in LA. Please pray for this decision and opportunity. We want Bobby to have the best options available to fight for his life. The two hospitals are working together to see what is best for Bobby. We hope to find out soon. As you can imagine this would cause some logistical challenges. If you know anyone that might have a rental or housing that we could arrange for Vero please message us. We are trying to do our homework and be thorough in our decision making.

Thanks again. God Bless you all!

Family and friends. Thank you for the support and for reaching out through calls or text. We remain hopeful. Currently Bobby is is being forced to rest his heart. He is on medication to keep calm and sleep. He has a cardiac pump that is assisting his heart as it is too weak on its own. We continue to pray and anticipate God providing him a heart. Please continue with prayers and share Bobby’s story. Thanks again.
