Bob & Holly's Storm Recovery Fund

Donation protected

At 4:30am on October 31st 2017, Bob and Holly awoke to what sounded like a bomb going off.  As it turned out, a large 80 foot pine tree had split and came crashing down on their mobile home during the distructive wind storm.

Shocked and disoriented, they did not know the extent of the damage or what to do as it was still pitch black out and the wind was howling.  Dispite this it was evident that they needed to leave their home as soon as possible and go to a friends house where it was safe.

Later they were able to return to their home only to find it crushed and destroyed beyond repair.  So began the task of securing a temporary place to live while the damage was assessed.  Though insurance is covering a portion of the total replacement cost of a new mobile home for Bob and Holly, unfortunately they are left with the burden of making up the difference for necessities like site work, pad work, and tree work, all of which are not covered by their insurance company.

Through all of their hardship, Bob and Holly have remained present volunteers at their local food pantry and thrift store, helping others dispite their current situation.  They are asking for your help in putting the pieces of their life back together and appreciate you taking the time to read their story.

Thank you!
