On Thursday, May 16th, Ric went into surgery to remove pieces of dislodged disc from his spine that if left untreated, would have paralyzed him. The following day — while still in the hospital — he received a call that there had been a fire at his boat, which he lives on after being forced to move out of his apartment because of skyrocketing rent prices. On Saturday, Ric was released from the hospital to come home to anyone’s worst nightmare. His home was destroyed, along with all of his belongings, including his speedboat which he loved dearly, and all of his work equipment. He is a salvage scuba diver for Tow Boats U.S.A.  Ric is beyond devastated, and in an undoubtedly unfortunate situation. Because of his surgery he is unable to return to work to help pay for his lost personal belongings, the removal of his destroyed home out of Lake Union, and the cost of having to find another place to live, as soon as possible. Our total goal is to help cover these costs, and let Ric rest and recover from his surgery with as little stress as possible, and every donation helps us get closer to that goal.
