What is Circus Fabulae? It's interactive art heading from Brooklyn, NY to Burning Man in August 2019!
More Specifically, what is it?
Circus Fabulae is a two story swing set with beautiful, custom designed mosaic roof and circular play space for performances of all kinds. At it's a heart a community space produced by a community of artists for the community to interact on. Circus Fabulae is a whimsical colosseum structure of telephone poles two levels tall and 30' in diameter. Ladders are installed along the outside structure so that people can get up and down. The first level has six porch swings facing inward onto a circular performance space. The second level has six porch swings all facing outwards that can pivot inward to view the performances below. The ceilings will be etched/laser-cut panes of plexi-glass to give a stained glass effect. The floor and ceiling above the center performance space is cut away to give a view through to the sky above. Each swing and roof panel will be designed and executed by a different artist or group. On the inside of the entire structure for participation encouragements will be written like "Tell a story" or "Play telephone", in the hopes that the community will take the lead and initiate an interactive exchange. 
What's the money go toward?
Bringing art from far away incurs a large cost. More specifically; lumber, partial rental of a Brooklyn shop for build, and transportation are the bulk of our expenses. That's why we need YOUR help!
Funding?
We are proud to be working with Burning Man on partial funding. In addition, we are looking at raising upwards of $35,000 on our own. We are here, on GoFundMe to raise capital to begin our process. There will be lots of different forms of fundraising including events in New York and we successfully raised $17,000 on Kickstarter. Anything you can give now helps us put a deposit on our build space and transpo!

About the Team:
Lead Artist
Benjamin Jones is an Artist/Designer living in Brooklyn, NY. Benjamin has been attending Burning Man since 2003. In 2004-2005 he brought his first project, Lego Block City to the playa, which was part of the Center Camp Art. In 2007, Benjamin's my first playa installation 'The Trees', an honorarium project, that was part of the Trees around the Man that year. Off playa, Benjamin has been involved with FIGMENT NYC since 2007, most notably he created the Figment Treehouse on Governors Island from 2011-15 and was the Producer of FIGMENT NYC from 2016-18.
Project Manager
Theresa "Shiny" Galeani is an Event Producer living in Brooklyn, NY. Shiny has been attending Burning Man since 2008. After returning to New York, she quickly became involved in organizing and production aspects of the NYC Burner scene, associate producing the Gratitude Festival and throwing multiple large scale events per year for the community. She assisted bringing "Twisted Bristles" to Burning Man in 2015. She's excited to take a larger role with bringing interactive art to the Burn this year!
