Blue’s Vet Care

An unknown reason is causing Blue to have paralysis in both legs on his right side, leaving him unable to walk. We went to the emergency vet and were told that it could potentially be a trauma related injury that damaged his nerves. We were referred to a neurologist. The neurologist suggested that there is a problem in his cervical spine and more likely causes are inflammation, infection, cancer, or stroke. We are waiting for bloodwork results to see if it may be an infection, but further testing and an MRI is needed to narrow down the problem. 
Also, as some of you know I just lost my other cat last month due to a brain problem, and am still recovering from those vet bills. I love my cats so much and I want to do everything I possibly can to help Blue, but finances are limiting my options. I have applied for care credit and was denied due to limited credit history as I am only 20. If I can do an MRI it will get us closer to finding out what is wrong, which will allow us to move forward with treatment.
I realize the goal I set is high, but as some pet owners may know, vet care is extremely expensive. The estimate that I got for even just the MRI was $3,035. Many financial grants/assistance require a specific diagnosis and treatment plan in order to provide assistance. As we need to do more testing to get an actual diagnosis, I am struggling to find ways to pay for this testing. It is sort of out of my comfort zone to ask for donations, but I am willing to do anything that may help Blue. Anything at all will be helpful in finding out what is going on with him, even if you could just share this post!!! Thanks for reading, and share if you can to get the word out!
