Blessings for Bentley
His surgery will be Thursday March 24th and we will do all needed biopsies and insert his port for chemotherapy. The results of his biopsy will allow the doctors he has to create a personalized treatment plan for him.
During this time I will be unable to work because he will not be able to attend school while receiving chemotherapy. Upon arriving we were also informed that his insurance went out of business and was no longer providing coverage. So the treatment and procedures performed in March will be out of pocket costs. We are accepting donations to help with medical expenses and also to hopefully fulfill some dreams of giant Lego sets and unforgettable adventures. Every penny helps and is greatly appreciated and we will keep everyone updated on Bentleys journey. Thank you.
This is a very long and hard road and we are so appreciative in all that are taking this journey with us. I am so lucky to be the mother of a warrior and I can not express how much the support has meant to us. Fight like a kid.
It has been a long four weeks. We got home on March 30th and it feels like we are still adjusting to our new normal. His treatment plan has changed a bit and he will not be starting radiation quite yet. He gave us quite the scare with his bladder but further testing seems to show that it's just clotting and not the cancer spreading.
He has begun to feel the impacts of chemotherapy which is completely heart breaking, anyone that knows Bentley knows how bubbly and absolutely energetic he is and he is not that anymore. At least for now. He has also started to lose his hair which has been pretty devastating for him. He believes people will laugh at him and he won't be handsome. We now have a feeding tube placed so he does not keep losing weight so rapidly. This may help with his energy level as well.
This is a hard journey but nevertheless the journey is ours and we will make it through, and that will be so much easier with the continuous support we are so lucky to receive from our community. We appreciate every thought, every prayer, and of course every penny. As our world seems so bleak and unfair at times it is humbling and amazing to see the kindness that surrounds us. Thank you all so much ❤️
It warms my heart to see the outpouring of support for my sister and Bentley. Thank you so much for the support, prayers, good vibes, and kind words. Ceene and the rest of my family greatly appreciate the gestures. #teambentley #strongceene Kick cancers butt
Continued prayers for Bentley to be healed and for your strength. Peace!!
I agree with my sister Suzanne 100% when she says that her heart is warmed by all of the love & support. It is truly beautiful to watch everyone come together like this. It means the world to my sister Ceene, Bentley and the rest of us that you all have helped so much♡
