The Rook & Pawn's Black Friday Board Game Marathon returns!
On Friday November 24th starting at 9AM help us continue an Athens Thanksgiving tradition as we host a 24 hour board gaming event to support Athens' own St. Mary's Hospital Children's Services.
We will open at 9:00am on the Friday after Thanksgiving and STAY open until the next day. You can finally live your dream and stay up for 24 hours playing board games! Ever wanted to actually finish a game of Monopoly, or for that matter, Twilight Imperium? Here's your chance! We will be open as usual during the day but will have guided games and learn to play events scheduled throughout the day (details coming soon).
After our normal close time (2am) access will be limited ONLY to team members.

If you don't think you can swing staying up for 24 hours, just come on by the cafe and hang out any time during the day-- we will also be donating a portion of our proceeds on Black Friday to St. Mary's.
St. Mary's is an integral member of the Athens community and the work the hospital does for children is renowned throughout the region. St. Mary's offers children compassionate, advanced, state-of-the-art care through its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Clute Barrow Nelson Children's Center and its Emergency Department.
St. Mary’s also meets the health care needs of children in diverse areas ranging from outpatient surgery to diabetes counseling to rehabilitation to home health care.
All funds raised through this event will go directly to St. Mary's Children's Services.
