Help Us Raise Money For Pet Central
Hello! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to check out this GoFundMe page. I'll try to explain the situation to you as fast as possible.
We're a group of students from Illinois State University wanting to help raise money for Pet Central Helps, an animal rescue in Central Illinois. As part of a semester project, we want to raise $700 for the organization.
//Still Reading? Great! Here's the whole story:
My name is Jeff Johnson, and I am representing Group No. 26: The Snackers from Illinois State University. We are on a mission to raise money for Pet Central Helps, A unique animal rescue based out of Normal, Illinois.
Serving most of Central Illinois, Pet Central Helps' mission is to help the community through example and action. They uphold the highest standard in progressive animal sheltering, and they strive to provide education and support to pets, and people, in need so that they can stay healthy and remain together. Currently, Pet Central is in the process of upgrading and expanding it's support facilities, and they are in need of many things, the greatest of which is donations.
That's where our group comes in. Our group of students is from Illinois State University's COM 223 Course, or "Small Group Communication." In short, the goal of this course is to learn how to operate effectively in a group setting, something that is definitely easier said than done.
Since early January, our group of six has been putting together a plan to help raise money, resources, and awareness for Pet Central. As part of this process, we have decided to include this GoFundMe in order to raise more cash for the organization. Our goal? A measly (or whopping, whichever suits you) $700! That's it, that's all we're asking for.
