I will return for my junior year at Hendrix College.
I am a 2012 Westchester Academy Cum Laude graduate, ranked 13th in my class, with 3.89 GPA. My senior year I went to the college fair at my high school and came across an uncrowded table with a smiling face behind it. This face introduced me to Hendrix College, a school my family hadn't heard of. This would later turn out to be the spectacular college that I would attend. Two years later, I'm here at this computer giving you my story in the hopes that your support will allow me to return to Hendrix in the fall.
I ran into a bump on my way to my 2016 Hendrix Commencement. Because of cancer running rampant in my family, my focus was diverted. My uncle’s rare Non-Hodgkin’s Mantle Cell Lymphoma seems to be responding to the stem cell transplant. The doctors are hopeful that my stepfather’s Melanoma of unknown origin, was caught in time. So, my Hendrix academic scholarship was put on hold for me until I can prove that what happened last year was not all that I can be. In order to finish my “Hendrix Experience”, I need your help to return this fall.
