Bisons Trim Locks for Cancer

Donation protected
Cancer is such a terrible chronic illness that many families have had to deal with. Our University of Manitoba Mens Hockey team consists of many players who have had their families affected by cancer in numerous ways.

Our names are Brett Stovin and Jonah Wasylak and we are both second year sophomores of the Manitoba Bisons Mens Hockey program. We made it our intitiative to grow our hair out at the start of last season in order to cut and donate it to the cancer care foundation at the end of this season. We have set a date of February 9th, 2017 and are looking to raise money to donate along with our hair to the cancer care society in order to aid them in creating a wig for someone in need.

Our mission is to create awareness throughout the University of Manitoba student population as well as the other residents of the province of Manitoba that cancer is something families deal with 365 days a year. Furthermore, we are trying to bring people together in order to have a positive impact on those affected by this chronic illness.

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $500 as well as donate our hair for the cause. The money and hair donations will go directly to the Cancer Care Society who will use it in the production of a wig and also to fund the charity and further cancer research.
