Make it for Mike & Kick it for Kim

BIO Gymnastics & Athletics Unlimited was started in 2013, with four people  wanting to create a better environment for their children and give them a business that they could eventually run.  With the help of unbelievably supportive mentors, the gym was open in seven weeks.

We have never been shy about giving all thanks and glory to God and He has blessed us with unbelievable growth in the last year and a half.  What we have realized is that this has gone far beyond just a business.  This endeavor has become a ministry.  Our positive, drama free environment has become a magnet for our staff, parents and children alike.  We pray before practice and focus on our families.  In addition, we focus on special needs program that has been overwhelmingly received by the community. We have begun work with area schools to offer field trips for special needs classes as well as one on one sessions that have proven to be extremely beneficial for the child and their family.

In the Summer of 2014, one of the founding moms was diagnosed with breast cancer and we now are fighting that fight right along side of her. In August, shortly after we learned of her diagnosis, her insurance company went bankrupt and she was without insurance for a month. In that one month's time, her treatment costs exceeded $200,000!! That was in September of 2014.  In October of 2015, Kim lost her battle.

We also have the opportunity to join forces with FlipCity  South and their foundation, Riley 4 Kids Foundation, a 501(c3) organization committed to supporting and guiding both male and female youths to acquire the skills necessary to lead full, productive, and healthy lives.

The response from everyone has been truly amazing and we were even awarded the Best of Forsyth 2015 for children's fitness! We have always wanted to give back to the community, and currently we have two families that are on scholarships that will allow them to continue to compete in the sport that they love.

All of this growth has made us realize that we need a larger facility to continue to provide the positive, Christian environment that is needed in our community.   We currently have found a building and an owner that is willing to work with us, but he is wanting to move quickly.  This is why we have started this page.

We are hoping to raise $300,000 going towards Kim's medical bills and then any left over will help us secure the new building.
