Billy Stinson Child Education Fund
The purpose is to raise money to begin an education fund for each of the children of William Anthony "Billy" Stinson. I'll eventually move the funds to individual 529 savings accounts for the children that can be contributed to over time, and any fees incurred by this convenient service I'll happily cover.
Billy worked hard to provide what he could for his wonderful children, but now we'd like to continue ensuring they have the resources for a good higher education opportunity in the future.

About Billy
Billy Stinson was a tremendously loving, engaged and supportive brother. Billy was always your number one fan, so proud in how he would talk you up to others - to the point of it being embarrassing. He was strongest one of us four and always ready to help in a moment’s notice and do the heavy lifting and exhausting jobs. He was a son that despite the number of headaches, brought many proud moments to our mom & dad. He was a father that I know deep down genuinely loved and cared for his children Gabe, Haley, and Blake and wanted what was best for them & did his best to provide what he could. With his magnetic charm he made so many friends in his life, it’s hard to even know where to begin counting. And over time I’ve come to learn that he was a close inspiration to others that needed a confidence boost, and helping hand in making their way through their own challenging lives.
He was a larger than life character day in and day out. I swear I can imagine him right next to me, right now. Dressed to impress of course – hair always freshly cut & styled, new clothes, tanned up, smelling good. I can hear him laughing – it was a big laugh everytime, showing off his biceps, maybe saying something off-the-wall just to get a rise out of us – always letting us know he is the wildest of the bunch.
I believe that deep-down Billy appreciated his shot at life. And if you know his story, then you know he worked very hard to earn a second chance at it. And in many ways he lived it to the fullest. He went to concerts (finally saw Social Distortion & Black Flag play live), went surfing in Florida, went on floating and camping trips, got many more tattoos, dominated us all in paintball, got his benchpress up to near 300lbs, and topped it off with a skydiving trip. He was so excited about these experiences.
He finally joined us for holidays, Sunday dinners, birthday parties, saw his brothers get married, and finally got to spend long-awaited quality time with his 3 children – Gabe, Haley and Blake.
I think a lot of us who knew him can relate - I’ve always loved him, even at his most challenging times. His presence has taught me so much and has given me some very powerful life tenets:
-Life is a beautiful opportunity and worth working hard for to have a chance to live it to the fullest
-To Make myself and my time available to others who are in need of someone, in need of help, to listen to them and to lift them up
-To Respect myself, my body, my vessel that protects this opportunity
-We will all face challenges larger than ourselves, ones that will if you don’t work on them day after day, they will overcome you.
Asking others for help is always OK, but you have to commit to helping yourself.
As for the hole in my heart that Billy’s presence has left, it’s being filled with these lessons he has given me to remember everyday, and to pass along to others.
