Bill Clemens Scholarship Fund

Tax deductible

Bill Clemens passed away at his home in New Columbia, PA on July 31, 2017.  He was a dedicated blacksmith to the craft as well as to ABANA.  As a past ABANA Board Member and Secretary, he co-chaired the 2014 ABANA Conference located in Harrington, Delaware.  He worked tirelessly over the past five years working on the ABANA web site and the recent conversion to the new web site.  The ABANA Board recently recognized him for all his generous time and effort to attain this goal.

Bill helped put together the ABANA Gallery during the 2010 and 2012 Conferences and organized the recording system of entries. He was instrumental in hosting the 2013 ABANA Convention in Westville, GA.

In addition to his ABANA dedication, he also was a Past President of the Blacksmith Guild of Central Maryland.  As editor of the Guild he was recognized and received the Joe Humble Award for his work at the 2006 ABANA Conference in Seattle.

His family requests that donations be made to the BGCM in the name of Bill Clemens Scholarship Fund. This Fund will be set up and distributed for worthy smith(s) to complete a beginner blacksmith class.
