Hannah's Big Top Tour Dream Fund
I am 15 year old Hannah Grove. I have had the dream to run away and join the circus since I was 6 after seeing my first Cirque du Soleil showing of Kooza for my birthday.
At the age of 10, I started auditioning to join the Circus Smirkus ten week summer traveling Big Top Tour that allows kids ages 10-18 to travel and perform with their award winning youth circus.
After 3 auditions and 3 rejections, my dreams are finally being realized as I have been accepted to join the tour! :) No's, don't always mean no, they simply mean that you are one step closer to a YES. They believe in me, I hope you will too.
Since the organization is a non-profit and costs over $2 million to operate each summer, each trouper on tour is required to pay for our summer travels.
The cost of tour is $6500, my parents have agreed to pay half if I work to also earn and raise the other half. Not only do I have a Go Fund Me page but I also run an Origami Owl business to continue to raise money so that I may join tour for years to come. All money raised on this campaign will go directly to Circus Smirkus to pay for my big break into the circus world!
I have wanted this since I was 6 years old. I have learned my art through grassroots training at home (we don't have circus schools here) and at the 2 weeks each year I spend at camp. I would be exceptionally grateful to each person that is able to contribute anything towards my dream.
My parents have always told me that I could be anything I wanted to be when I grow up.....I am one step closer to living that dream and running away to join Cirque du Soleil!
