Biddeford Emergency Response Fund
On Sunday November 23 at around 5PM a severe fire broke out at 25 Green Street in Biddeford. The response from our Biddeford Fire Department and other first responders was remarkable, and all 20 residents were able to evacuate safely. However, at least 20 people are displaced from the building (as well as adjoining buildings which had basements and furnaces flooded).
The funds are being used to assist residents of 25 Green Street with items that have not, or cannot, be provided from other resources. If you need assistance please contact Vicky Edgerly, General Assistance, City Hall, at [phone redacted]. You may also contact me, Martin Grohman, at [phone redacted].
The Biddeford Emergency Response Fund has not been used to pay for any form of housing (housing assistance may be available from other sources). Intended uses are:
- Medical needs
- Personal care items
- Clothing
- Household items
- Furnishings
You will need to provide your name and apartment number. Only those who the landlord has documented to be tenants will be eligible for assistance. In order to be sure funds are used appropriately, assistance is generally granted in the form of a voucher designated to a specific vendor.
Please help at this important time right before the holidays!
