Brookside High School launched our first VEX Robotics team in the 2013-2014 school year. We have grown to 3 High School teams, 5 Middle School teams and 14 Elementary teams, including over 100 students. Our team name is the Sheffield Metropolitan Area Robotics Team (S.M.A.R.T.)
In our first 2 years, we have often traveled over 2 hours to find a competition. In 2016 we began hosting our own tournaments. We currently host 1 High School and 2 Elementary School VEX Robotics competition, providing competition opportunity approximately 120 teams and 600 students!
In 2017, 3 teams qualified for the VEX World Championship! This year in 2018, we doulbed that to 6 teams (4 Elementary and 2 High School) at VEX Worlds more than any other school in Ohio!
Please consider supporting our SMART Robotics program. We need money for competition fields, robot parts, registration and entry fees, and travel costs.
All sponsors will be recognized on our website. Donations of $250 or more will be recognized on our team t-shirts. Donations of $1500 or more will be recognized as "Field Sponsors" and will have their name and logo on one of our Competition Fields.
