Hello friends and family of Betsy, Ward, Gracie and Sophie Myers,
As many of you already know, Betsy was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 rectal cancer. Her story can be found on her caringbridge site: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/betsymyers2
Betsy’s treatment plan will begin on Monday, July 31 with chemotherapy. The anticipated plan is 6+ months of chemo and 2-3 surgeries to remove the cancer from her liver and then her rectum.
As you can imagine, these treatments are extremely expensive, with each round of chemo costing upwards of $100K, not to mention the 2-3 surgeries. Despite their medical insurance, we anticipate an extremely large amount will have to be covered by them out-of-pocket for deductibles, co-pays, and some treatments that aren’t covered at all.
This will be a tough battle, but Betsy is ready to fight and we will all be right by her side. We would love to alleviate some of the financial burden the Myers will be facing with your help.
