Bertram Family Memorial Trip
Donation protected
On December 12th, 2018, a Charlestown Police Department K-9 officer tragically died in the line of duty while pursuing a stolen vehicle. Following the funeral services, members of local FOP lodges, and local law enforcement came together to plan a memorial trip for the officer's family in blood and his family from the Charlestown Police Department. The funds raised will send the family and officers to Washington D.C. for the annual Police Week memorial services where law enforcement officers from all over the country will be honored. We all realized that this would be a large task, but with the assistance of local businesses, public service entities, and you, the public, we know this trip will happen and be an unforgettable experience for the family and officers. No donation amount is too small in a campaign such as this. The money that is donated will go to the FOP lodge for these officers, and will be used for Lodging, Travel and Meal expenses. The lodging alone will cost around 20K, and we are working with travel companies to get a solid number for that cost. We are so honored to be able to do this to honor this officer, and to give a lasting memory for his family in blood and in blue.
