Mary's Hearing Aid Fund
Donation protected
This is my mom, Mary. She is 92 years old. For two years, she lived in an assisted living facility, until her savings were exhausted. We were told that Medicaid would pick up after her savings were gone, but that is not what happened.
Instead, I found an efficiency apartment across the road, and we got mom moved in there at the end of March. She is still able to get around by herself and enjoys being around family. I am glad things have worked out this way.
She is managing pretty nicely on her Social Security and some Food assistance, but one thing that would make a big difference would be hearing aids, and those are beyond our means.
We have been able to locate a pair of good quality refurbished hearing aids for $1300. Please help.
