On February 28, 2018, Rare Disease Day, the world lost a bright light.

Bennett Charles McClurken-Gibney had SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). He spent most of his life overcoming obstacles and raising awareness for how inaccessible the world is.

One of his greatest joys was to go to the ARC park in Richmond,  a playground that allows kids of all abilities to play and just be a kid.

Help us build an all abilities playground in Charlotteville.  Let this be his legacy, so his light will continue to touch others.

Do you live in Charlottesville or the surrounding areas? How would an all abilities playground benefit you and your family? We're gathering information to make the case as we meet with officials, reporters, fundraising experts, and look for grants to help make this playground a reality. This is a community effort--we need to hear from you! You can send messages directly to Bennettsvillage@gmail.com.
