A New Beginning!
On our way to USDF Dressage Finals at the Kentucky Horse Park in November but only with the help of others can this be possible!
I have been waiting almost a decade for this time in my life where I have been able to start showing my stallion "Weydor" (Vader) again! We have been nominated as a wild card for USDF Dressage Finals at 4th level freestyle. The road to get here seemed impossible till now!

-Our Story
I was successful showing my boy in 2005-2006 but then suffered a serious knee injury in mid 2007 requiring surgery which kept me from riding for a year. After attempting to show again in 2008 I got injured again but this time it was my back. Non-horse related of course. Surgery was mandatory but I lost partial use of my right leg and never fully recovered. After many attempts to pick up riding full time again I felt as though it may not ever happen again due to the pain it caused me.
Later in 2011, I found out that after the initial surgery my back was weakened and I started to feel my leg burning again. A second surgery was necessary to prevent the nerve damage from increasing. As the surgery was performed, the doctor found that my back had been broke since shortly after the first surgery which was causing it to twist over 15 degrees. A third surgery was ordered to fuse my spine. This was a blessing in disguise as it was my only chance to be able to ride again. So 4 weeks later, I went under the knife again to get the fusion.
It took a little over a year to feel good enough to get back into the saddle but that didn't last long as I needed a hand surgery in July 2012 to fix a severed tendon. Then I tried to ride again- but a hernia surgery was needed, then another one in 2014! I started to feel good enough that I could get going real good this time... but... I broke my arm this last March... Agh!! Three months later I said I was determine to get back to riding and entered my first show with only 5 weeks back in the saddle. We won our first class and got 2nd in the next one! I was shocked. My boy had been sitting 90% of the time I was recovering from my injuries during the almost 10 year break and he had the strength to compete and do well!

After all that defeat we have been able to make it to Regional's this year with a very successful season and get Reserve Champion in our 4th level freestyle! We missed Champion by only .067%!!! Couldn't have been any closer! Now with a wild card nomination we have qualified for USDF Nationals but it cost so much and I cannot do it alone. I am hoping you can help make this happen. Entry deadline is October 22nd which just so happens to be my hubby and mine's 21st wedding anniversary.... Hoping I can get to Kentucky this November as my horse has turned 17yrs old and has held up so nicely for me - as I haven't been so fortunate, and I would love to be able to finalize this struggle with a great ending!
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and hope that your assistance can take us to the top!
Sincerely,
Belynda Moore
