Who am I?
I'm Amy! I am in little ole Adelaide, Australia and I'm a flower addict. A wedding addict. A donut addict. Oh and I'm a florist!
My love (obsession) of flowers started from a desire to make my own wedding bouquet and grew into something much more. A few beginner classes and I was hooked, my hands were meant to play with beautiful blooms!
I started Bella In Bloom at home, specialising in special event flowers, mostly weddings but have since branched out into other events, flower crowns and workshops.
Over time our double garage was filled with various workbenches, shelving to the roof, a flower fridge and so many boxes of vases and supplies that people barely fit. It drove my husband nuts, but he’s a huge part of my business’s success and one day I was going to expand enough to give him back his car space!
That day is now.
What do I want?
To bloom and grow! In an act of bravery and guesswork I found a warehouse in Salisbury South that looked like it would be the perfect place for a floral design studio. Turning a warehouse into a studio is quite a daunting task and I'm still a long way off having it ready for sharing.
I would like to fill a big work area with benches and stools to be able to run classes. I love teaching all things floral and get a real kick out of watching people realise their talent. I'd also like to hire out the space to other creatives in the Northern Suburbs to network and help their business expand and grow, bringing some new creativity to the north.
Money for what?
Benches and Stools, enough for 30 people.
Gyprock to finish some walls.
Lots of paint to make it pretty.
Some new lighting.
And some handy men to help me with it... :)
Ideally I'd love to get this completed within the month so its ready for my Christmas Workshops.
I'd be forever grateful for any funds you would like to put towards this, but its not just donations I'm looking for, preorders would be even better!
If by sheer luck and love I get over the budget then all funds will be used to better the studio, with a new meeting space, heating and storage.
