I am a mother of a child that was bullied. My child is not a victim, but he is a victor! When my lovie duck was only 9 years old he was attacked by a bully that caused him to have a lifelong injury that he suffers with daily. It has effected his physical activity endurance level majorly, with the prognosis of a hip replacement. Things that he could do physically before, he can now only wish to be able to do them. He also was effected mentally and emotionally. He has become a nervous wreck and at times unnecessarily fearful. Although he suffers he has decided with the help of myself and his sister to create a children’s book that will inspire children, and help them to become aware and well equipped on how to handle a bully. My mommy motto is: If you teach children well while they are young, they will be a well-rounded citizen when they are older.
Our Goal is to have this book in EVERY elementary school counselor’s office in the United States. We believe that the message in “Be A Lion At Heart” will be of great assistance in bullying prevention and awareness! My son didn't have any encoraugement or bully awareness like this in his school at the time. I know that our goal is massive being that there are thousands of elementary schools in the United States, but we KNOW that it is possible with YOUR help! We are starting with these 10 states in the South East: Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Mississippi.
Our Purpose for this Go Fund Me Account: Our purpose is to supply every elementary counselor’s office, in the U.S.A starting with the South-East states listed above. “Be Lion At Heart” is available via Amazon and Barnes and Noble for $9.99 per copy plus shipping and handling costs. Since we are the creators of this book, the price for us to have the books bonded and printed (non-profit) is $3.65 per copy plus shipping and handling costs. There are 9,984 elementary schools total that we have found in the listed 10 south eastern states. We need one book per elementary school counseling office. The total cost for the 9,984 copies is $36,441.60, in addition the shipping and handling costs is $7,993.20. Making the grand total $44,434.80. Once we complete this task we will move on the supply another 10 states, until we have placed one in every state's elementary school counselor's office in the United States!
