Chuck Dickerson

Some of you may have seen this on Facebook .. This is Chuck Dickerson.. He lost both his arms in an electrical accident more than 20 years ago.. His employer was uninsured so he received nothing as a result.. He resumed his passion for art after being hospitalized for more than 2 years and used it to raise his 2 kids on his own.. He does amazing oil paintings and sells them to provide for his family... He's not out begging for handouts, but working for everything he gets .. He sets up his equipment and completes and sells his work in the parking lots of stores that give him the most contact with people... I have tremendous respect for someone who overcomes these setbacks to continue to take care of his family while doing what he loves.. He has done two beautiful paintings for me and is working on another.. They are well below what he could sell them for, but needs to paint and sell them quickly to pay all his everyday expenses and well as purchase more supplies to keep painting.. Recently his vehicle broke down and he is trying to raise money to purchase another one to be able to travel to the places he can sell his art.. He needs this as soon as possible.. He has not asked me to this for him.. He is an incredibly humble and resilient man and I am trying to give him the opportunities he deserves.. Thank you
