Barrister Heather Stokes's recovery!
Donation protected
Some months ago, Barrister Heather Stokes was crossing a city street at night, and was hit by a passing motor vehicle. Despite multiple injuries and broken bones, Heather has amazed with her determined recovery from this setback in her life!
Heather's rehabilitation will be lengthy and arduous. Given that she is a fair way from being assessed as able to return to work, and that her assets are not accessible to turn in to ready cash at the moment, her treatment and ongoing care support are at risk of drying up. Heather has given much of her working life years to people and causes where, if someone didn't act, nothing would have been done! It may be time for the bread that she cast upon the waters to return to her. For now, all she can do for all those who want to see her survive this, is apply her determination to continue to exist, and work toward her recovery.
Some current or former Parole Officers, an colleagues from Heather's Legal Fraternity, and others who recognise Heather's contribution to social justice organisations and debate, are in support of raising and administering these funds, ensuring that some one acts, and something can be done.
