Bad Luck Has Ruined Our Life

A string of bad luck has turned our lives upside down. My boyfriend and our friend and I all moved in together in Springfield about a year ago. Everything was going fine. We had good jobs. Paid well. I work at a gas station across town. They got jobs at the dollar store down the street. Then one day our roommate got assaulted at work by a shoplifter. As he was trying to stop him, the shoplifter punched him in the eye multiple times and kicked him and ran away. Never got caught. And it happened off camera. Roger wears glasses and has really bad eyesight to begin with. The glasses got punched into his eye socket which fractured. He had to have surgery and a steel plate put in. And he wears an eye patch now. A nerve got damaged and he's in constant pain. And his eye is always dry. He also lost all night vision. His eye is always dilated. The good eye has bleed over damage. Sympathy pain. The dollar store is paying for the medical bills but then they fired him because he was no longer able to work nights. rotating shifts is mandatory. His mom also recently had a stroke but she lives in Oklahoma. He lives here in order to see his son. He can't move to another state or he'll lose visitation. Last year my car died. So when I got my taxes I bought the only car I found that I could afford. A '92 momvan. But it needs a cadalitic converter and brakes. At the time I thought I could manage it. That was before Roger lost his job. Then a few weeks ago my window broke off. Behind the drivers seat. While i was doing 60 on the highway. So now its a plastic bag and I can't drive on the highway anymore. Then my boyfriend who also worked at that same dollar store as an assistant manager was at work one day when someone fell asleep behind the wheel and drove a truck through the building. He was standing 10 feet from the window when it happened. He was shaken up from that but kept going to work. Then 3 days later he got robbed at gunpoint. He didn't have a key to the safe so he fought the gun off the guy. Was too scared and angry to go back and had to quit. Then he finally found another job at a sub shop but hes only working 4 hours a day 4 days a week. For the first 60 days. And Roger just got fired. And he's trying to get on disability and food stamps but it's taking forever. So now I'm left paying for everything and I can't. Bills keep piling up. Rent is more than I make in one check. Our fridge is bare. We're a mess. We need help. Please help us any way you can.
