NBC’s THE VOICE Season 6 finalist, anti-bullying advocate, and North Dakota native Kat Perkins, to host summer camp for aspiring vocalists in the Badlands of North Dakota.
June 22-25, 2016 Forty lucky kids will get the chance to learn from the best. Perkins is hosting the first annual ‘Badlands Rising Star Camp’. The 4-day camp will include daily vocal coaching, music business workshops, and performance coaching – as well as daily movement and yoga activities. And the camp culminates in a once-in-a-lifetime experience where the campers get the opportunity to perform, along-side Kat, in an amphitheater that seats thousands!
Outside of the educational portions of the camp, there is also ample time scheduled for things like campfire sing-alongs, hikes, and mini-golf. Campers will go home with cool swag bags including t-shirts and backpacks.
I'm looking for YOUR help to cover teacher salaries and offset camper costs as we are renting a brand new 7 million dollar Life Skills Center in Medora, ND. Other costs include building rental, lodging, meals, tickets to local daily entertainment, t-shirts, trophies, piano rental and microphones! EVERY DOLLAR WILL COUNT!
