Baby Dylan Wilbur

On December 22nd our family got the news that no family ever wants to hear. Our beautiful 4 month old baby nephew has a brain tumour.

Dylan Reid Wilbur has been diagnosed with a tumour behind his eye. Dylan’s mom, Jessica noticed his eyes dancing a little and took him right in to see a doctor. They diagnosed Dylan with a disease called Nystagmus and after a routine ultrasound they found a mass on his brain.  Recently an MRI has identified that there are two masses.

Dylan’s two older brothers have been so understanding and so good about Mom, Dad and Dylan being away from home since the beginning of Christmas break. Thankfully they were released to go home and spend this Christmas together.



On December 27th, Dylan and his parents are headed back to London for a craniotomy scheduled for December 28th. The surgeon will perform a biopsy and hopefully relieve some of the discomfort and pressure inside Dylan’s head. Following the surgery, chemotherapy will begin at Sick Kids hospital to hopefully shrink the tumour and rid Dylan of this terrible disease.

We are raising money through this Go Fund Me account to help both Dylan’s parents take the time they need to be with their baby. Dylan is being treated in London at Sick Kids which puts financial strain on Dylan’s mom and dad when traveling and staying for appointments. 

Our goal:

 To raise $10,000 which will go to Dylan’s parents to be put towards travel costs, food, lodging, and to keep all their regular costs covered during this time of lost wages.

About the family:


Brent and Jessica live and work in the Wallaceburg area. They have been happily married since 2012. They have had three beautiful children, Lucas 9, Zachary 5 and Dylan. Brent and Jess work very hard to provide for their family. They are so strong, and loving in this the most terrifying time of their life.
