Hello, my name is Axyl.
I was very happy growing in my mummies tummy until the 7th of December, I decided I wanted to come early!
Living in Nanango, mummy drove us to the Kingaroy hospital were they flew us to Birsbane then to the Gold Coast.
Unfortunately we had to leave Daddy and my 2 siblings behind.
I tried very hard and mummy did everything she could to keep me safe and sound but I wanted to meet my family. I couldn't wait any longer, so on the 15th of December at 5.32pm I packed my placenta and entered the world! I was only in mummies belly for 24weeks and 4 days.
When I was born I weighed 740grams and was 32cm long. The doctors had to revive me, I took a breath of air and I knew I had to fight for my life, my mummy, my daddy, my FAMILY!!

I know I have a long, long time until I reach my due date (02/04/2017) but I really need mummy (Isya) and daddy (David) and my brother (Deacon, 9) and sister (Akyrah, 11months) to be there for me and to help me get through everyday!
It's too scary to be alone surrounded by weird voices and sounds and smells.
I see mummy and daddy cry every time they leave my side, and sometimes.... I can't find my daddy by mummies side, she looks scared but stays strong for me!

So mummy and daddy need your help!! All of us need to be together because we are so much stronger that way!
My daddy is struggling to afford to drive home to look after all of our animals and then back to see me every 3 days, and mummy and daddy need to support my siblings and themselves too. It's very scary coming from such a small town to being surrounded by cars and buildings and people. Not knowing anyone or anything around us.
If anyone can find it in their hearts to help mummy and daddy afford to be here for me and see me as much as they can because it's still a long time to reach my due date and no one knows how much more time I have here. Please, please, please help me and my family be together as much as possible!!

Since I have been in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) I have gained 40grams and am now eating 3mls of mummies milk every 2hours. It has been hard for mummy and daddy, especially on the 17th, I got a little bit of blood in my lungs, so the doctors put me under a big scary machine and did a x-ray of my chest discovering my right lung had collapsed. It has been alot harder for me to breathe but the doctors believe I can sort it out if I keep trying to breathe on my own. And in the morning on the 19th I had to wear little goggles and have a big light on me for most of the day because I got what is called Jaundice.
