BABST MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Donation protected
The BABST MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP for the TRADES is our family’s attempt at taking the sourest of lemons life has given us and making something that resembles lemonade

On November 10, 2014 our son Garrett died by suicide. Less than 4 months later, while on a snowmobiling  trip with his dad and 2 brothers to spread some of his brother Garrett’s ashes, our 24 year old son James (J.T) died in a snowmobiling accident.

Garrett worked as a laborer for the Laborers Union Local 242 and James was in the Machinist Union working at BNSF when he died. My husband and I have been in the trades for years and our youngest son is in the Carpenters Union. The Trades have been very good to our family and we want to promote the trades in our local  high schools to students looking for an alternative to 4 years of college!!

We were blessed to give 3 scholarships to 3 students graduating in the Auburn School District: John McHugh (Auburn High), Chris Cowan (Auburn Riverside) and Sean Wicklund (Auburn Mountainview. We want this scholarship to be sustainable and NEED YOUR HELP!!!
