I have created this page to help my little sister realize her dream and bring awareness to the seriousness of child hunger. Every little bit helps.
Hi,
My name is Angela, I am 50 years old and have been dreaming about doing this ride across America since I was 11. I’ve been planning this Trek for the last three years and have a passion to join the fight against hunger for children. I've become aware of childhood hunger not being addressed in our communities in the United States and I wish to raise more awareness of the issue on the local level. I will be traveling to local food banks and social gatherings to help raise awareness of how many American children go hungry.
In the United States today alone, nearly 16 million children face hunger. Consequently, one in five children are facing greater obstacles to reaching their fullest potential. The future of America lies in our children. When hunger threatens the future of a child, it threatens the future of our nation as well. With today capabilities no child should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.

Horses take approximately 20lbs of food/day. Feeding the horses will take a minimum of $16/day or about $500 a month ($16 * 30 days = $500). Once the goal of $500/month is reached, we will donate $500 to the highest donator's choice of charity for children. Any subsequent funds over $500/month will be donated after the first month will go to No Kid Hungry Charity
