Change the World

Since coming out publicliy as the first openly gay male ex-pro hockey player I have had a ton of support from many in my community, in North America and around the world. It is that support that guided me to do what I am doing now to help change the world; speaking to youth in sports and in schools as well as adults in organizations to try and end homophobia and change the way we use language. 

I am taking my mission to change the world one step further. I am currently working on a new self-funded project (more details to come but for now I have to keep it top secret, you will understand why when all is revealed). This new project will help educate on LGBTQ issues, history and subculture in a new, fun and engaging way from my current platform. 

Because this project is self funded, I am looking to you--my family, friends and online community for help. I am hoping to raise funds to help bring this important project to fruition. I know my goal may seem lofty, but I have big dreams for big change.
