Thor Anderson, (21 years old) a dedicated Lyft driver was killed at 3:00 AM January 1st while on duty to pick up a customer. He was struck by a speeding, drunk driver and killed instantly.
Thor has two brothers, a sister, and a father who depend on him for help both with the family and financially. He was a dedicated, "good boy," and was the cornerstone for his family. His two little brothers feel lost without him helping them with homework and rides.
I am Thor's Aunt and I am helping the family set up this fund as they are financially strapped and cannot afford funeral expenses, nor to take a few days off from work to deal with the tragedy, nor the loss of income they will now face.
They need the money right away to pay for the funeral and memorial...There are many other collateral expenses they have that Thor helped with, such as food, gas, car payments, and utilities.
Thor was well liked in the Lyft community, and previously served as a TSA agent at LAX airport.
