My name is krystal hiscock and I am 18 years old.
When I was 18 months old , i was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis . It is a rare cell disorder where tumors grow onto it into the nerve tissue. Which basically I am proned to tumors. Some of them cane be benign or malignant. Some can be painful or non painful. At the age of 7 when I seen one of my doctors , my mother noticed a weird little lump on the bottom of my foot. The doctor just simply said it was a fatty deposit. So it was ignored. As the years grew , the strange lump grew. In October 2013 , I seen my neurologist, and he said that the large lump was in fact one of the tumors. I was sent for multiple tests immediately.
After the tests , it was clear that I needed attention quickly. And after three doctors , I had finally been placed with one who would help.
Unfortunately the tumor had grown too big to just take out. It was way too big , and too painful for me to walk on. And the only thing that could be done was amputation.
And on December 15th 2015 , I lost the bottom half of my right leg.
And now it's soon time for me to get fitted for a prothstesis , and do not have the money to afford my first leg. So I am asking for help , and little donations to help me get back on my feet again, so I can finally walk and do the things I love again
