The rumors are true. In the face of the economic crisis, our beloved animal shelter is closing. Our hearts are heavy, but now is not time for sadness, it's time for action! 

Nine years ago, we established Azerbaijan's first and only not-for-profit animal shelter, Azerbaijan Animal Rescue Center (AARC) to address the homeless animal crisis in Azerbaijan.

Over the years, with the generous support of Mr. Manoucher Ahadpour, our shelter has spayed/neutered over 5,000 animals, has found homes for over 300 animals and has actively reached over 20,000 people via social media. The shelter has been a strong advocate for animal rights and welfare in Azerbaijan and has strived its hardest to combat animal homelessness.

Sadly, however, in the face of the economic crisis, our sponsor has been forced to cease his donations to our shelter. As a result, we will be closing our shelter after the last animal is re-homed. 

Because we DO NOT euthanize our animals, we need YOUR help to feed and care for them until we find them forever homes. 

All proceeds will be spent on food, medicine and other necessities during the re-homing process.
