Hace 2 meses sentía dolor de cabeza atípico y poco a poco fue incrementando la recurrencia, 1 vez al dia cada 2 dias, luego todos los dias, finalmente 3 o 4 veces al dia. Realizo un examen físico con un medico internista y no había ninguna patología o algo fuera de lo normal que llamara la atención.
Hace un poco mas de 1 mes mientras caminaba sintió que una pierna no le respondía y fue la alerta que disparó realizas una R.M. (resonancia magnética) un dia jueves, mientras esperábamos el informe del radiólogo el cual estaría disponible el martes siguiente, el fin de semana sintió problemas en la vista para enfocar, revisamos las imágenes por nuestra cuenta y algo no se veía normal para nuestros ojos no entrenados.
Pedimos ayuda a varios médicos allegados a la familia y nos recomendaron asistir inmediatamente a un neurocirujano.
Ahi comenzó todo el proceso.
El primer paso fue atender la urgencia de liberar la presión ocasionada por la hidrocefalia y se procedió a instalar una válvula de derivación peritoneol para drenar el liquido que se acumulaba en su cabeza adicionalmente se tomo una muestra del liquido para identificar marcadores tumores y los resultados fueron negativos para todos los estudios realizados.
El siguiente paso fue tomar una muestra del tumor para hacer la biopsia y poder determinar su tipo y categoría. En este punto nos encontramos ahora.
La cirugía fue exitosa pero la recuperacion presento inconvenientes y en este momento sigue en UCI (unidad de cuidados intensivos) esperando que retome la conciencia.
El siguiente paso es realizar unaquimio terapia y finalmente radiocirugía con Gamma Knife para desintegrar el tumor debido a que su tamaño es reducido pero la ubicaron es muy delicada en el centro del cerebro sobre el tallo cerebral.
Es por ello que necesitamos la ayuda lo antes posible
Actualmente los gastos de cuidado intensivo por los problemas de su recuperación demandan realizar pagos casi a diario que pueden alcanzar hasta 100 USD diarios. esta es la primera urgencia y es inmediata.
La siguiente cirugía y tratamiento de quimioterapia es lo que implica los mayores gastos pero se estima realizar en 20 dias con el favor de su pronta recuperacion del estado actual.
