¡Todos Somos Los Patojos!

$2,725 of $7,000 goal

Raised by 48 people in 32 months
My name is Misla Barco. I am an educator in California and I volunteer at the school 'Los Patojos' in Jocotenango, Guatemala. Last Sunday, the school was broken into. Several items were stolen, including computers and a wheelchair. These items are hard to afford in Guatemala. The burglar destroyed learning materials and wrecked the students' courtyard garden, trashing the site.
We need to raise money to alleviate the loss, and to help Los Patojos continue their comprehensive mission to provide medical care, healthy meals, and educate children.
Thank you!
¡Gracias!

Dear Amigos de Los Patojos: My name is Misla Barco, I am an Ambassador for Los Patojos. One of my roles is to raise funds for the school. I have done it in Guatemala and USA. Also, I am the person who nominated Los Patojos for the 2014 CNN HERO AWARD. For your information, all funds raised here will be withdrawn into my account and then transferred entirely to Juan Pablo Romero Fuentes, "Los Patojos" [Founder and Director] to his bank account in Guatemala. Thank you for your kind generosity!

Misla has worked with Los Patojos for many years and is a close and wonderful friend of Juan Pablo and the 300 children and youth that the centre educates. This is the centre that Give Kids A Chance partners with in Guatemala. Please help us to restore the centre after this robbery. If everyone gives what they can, we can fix this quickly and the staff can get on with educating, feeding and caring for these children.

So sad that anyone would do this despicable thing to such a valuable project. But thanks for your vision and hard work!
