Ayita Wheelchair Dance

Donation protected

Hi everyone! I am so excited and beyond blessed that this is our 5th session! We just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. We are trying to expand our outreach as well. We had our first open dance where we invited kids with all kinds of special needs to come dance with us and it also gave our girls the opportunity to be leaders and help others in dance. It was a wonderful night and we would love to have more of them! We also have plans to reach out and help in the wheelchair community in other ways. All this is not possible without the wonderful people who have donated to our class and recitals.
So here is some more information about Ayita Wheelchair Dance. Ayita is a FREE dance class/team for children who use wheelchairs. I started this class for my daughter, Mayli, who has always loved to dance. She was born with spina bifida and is a full time wheelchair user, but that has never stopped her from dancing. Ayita is a Cherokee name meaning "First to Dance" which fit her perfectly. In class we work on adaptive moves that our kids can use in and out of dance and in every day life. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, and to build confidence and friendships. Please help support our class by donating to our cause. Thank you so much for your support!
