Ayden's Medical Fund

Hi. I would like to introduce you to my nephew Ayden.

Ayden is a 5 year old happy, sweet and very big hearted little boy who was born with Achondroplasia (Dwarfism).

Even though Ayden was born being small he does his best to not let that stop him from living (in his eyes) a nomal life. He loves to play with is his sister, family and friends. He really enjoys going to school and doing things on his own. His smile and personality is so contagious that he truly steals the hearts of everyone that meets him.

Since birth Ayden has seen several doctor's and has had some surgeries on his ears and other areas, but now... my sister and Ayden's dad are faced with another difficulty. For the past 3 years Ayden has been in and out of Doctor offices and hospitals complaing of pain in his legs and feet.

As a family we all do our best in taking turns to help Ayden's pain by doing what the Dr.'s tell us to do, running him to the dr's. and pitching in money to help with the bills. It is hard for us to watch this 5 year old little boy be strong while tears stream down his face from all of the pain.

Just a few weeks ago we broke the news to Ayden that after Christmas he will be undergoing a very big surgery. He will be traveling to Wisconsin to see a specialist who will be resetting both of his legs and feet with pins, plates and donor bones. After this procedure Ayden will have to stay in Wisconsin for 2 weeks.

Both of Ayden's parents do have medical insurance to help pay for the surgery, but the cost of traveling from Ohio to Wisconsin is going to be costly. We as a family do what we can to pitch in. I had set up this account in hopes that some of you would be willing to help out Ayden's parents with gas, food and lodging (as the Ronald McDonal House cannot guarantee them a room).

I know these days that money can be very tight, but I am hoping that you would find it in your hearts to please help my sister for Ayden's sake. Both of Ayden's parents will be missing work to be with their son during those 2 weeks.

If you are unable to give I truly understand. I ask that you all please keep Ayden and our family in your prayers  during this tough time.

Thank you and God Bless - Stevie F.
