Elias and Marsha Medical Fund

July 27, 2008 Marsha and Elias's love story began. Not long after this, my daughter, Marsha got extremely ill and has been disabled since that time. She was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, IBS, PCOS, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. Even though she is better she still lives in a brain fog half of the time and is in so much pain every day. Then in February of 2014, my son-n-law Elias had a heart attack at 39 yrs of age. He has a defibrillator/pacemaker in his chest that he will have for the rest of his life. When he became ill he had a great job working as an electrician. He tried to go back to work several times and could not stay working due to complications. He and my daughter have used up all of their financial resources - savings, retirement, unemployment, etc. They have no income whatsoever at this time. The bills keep piling up. (People ask us all the time, "can't they get on disability," Yes, but it takes years although we have filed). In the meantime, they desperately need help. Elias just got out of the hospital again, he has arterial sclerosis (a narrowing) in the artery where the defibrillator goes which has caused his left arm to swell and has stayed this way. By accident on one of the CT Scans, they found a growth on his thyroid and he has to see yet another specialist.
My husband and I have depleted all of our funds making sure that their insurance, co-pays, and medications are paid, along with all other daily needs.
