St. Vincent 155th Town Reunion Sign

$800 of $1,000 goal

Trish Short Lewis  SAINT VINCENT, MN
In July 2012, St. Vincent, Minnesota celebrated its 155th Birthday as an incorporated village.  It has a rich (and much longer) history that should be acknowledged and memorialized.
It is the goal of this page to raise the necessary $700+ funds for the signs at both main entrances of the town to do just that.

An example of such a sign exists down the road at our neighboring town, Humboldt, MN...

Great news! The signs are in the possession of the village council. Also, the population signs have been put up by MnDOT that they will go under, replacing the old location signs. Now we are submitting the necessary permit, as well as a letter from the St. Vincent council stating what we are doing and requesting permission (another formality, or piece of red tape!) We hope to get the go ahead in the near future so the signs can be installed as soon as possible this summer.

Speaking of which, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to install the signs. Please contact trish at trishymouse@gmail.com if you can help her install the signs. Thanks!

Since our last update, where we had raised $70.00, we are now sitting at $255.00! That is AMAZING - almost a 1/3 of the way there in only one month!!

Friends, Neighbors, and Current/Former Residents of St. Vincent: Let's not lose the momentum. Right now, this is just a dream, but it is easily within our grasp to make it a reality if we both spread the word, AND donate whatever we each feel is fair for us to give. In the near future, I hope to share with you a mock-up of the sign as it will appear, so you can have a better idea of what you are getting for your donation. For now, please go by the attached photo from our neighbor town Humboldt's sign, as an example. Many of you have likely seen that sign in person. The sign for St. Vincent will be very similar, but with different language.

Please: Pass on this message, AND seriously consider making a contribution.

From the bottom of our hearts, all of us who love St. Vincent and the memories it holds for us and so many others, THANK YOU...

So far, we have raised $70.00 for the St. Vincent 155th Town Reunion sign. If you have not yet contributed, I urge you to seriously consider donating to this worthwhile commemoration to a town that means a lot to many people, for many reasons. When people travel by St. Vincent, people will know that this town mattered/matters, and there is more to it than meets the eye.
