UPDATE : 21/7/14
hey everyone.. im currently sitting with James back at his place and he wanted to past on a msg to everyone!
"I would like to thank everyone who has sent their thoughts my way over the past few weeks from the bottom of my heart. Friends and family, near and far, it has truly touched me how many special people I have in my life as well as people I haven't had the chance to meet yet. Thankfully I am out of hospital now and I'm beginning rehabilitation from home. I have a fair way to go but knowing I have so many people behind me I am sure I will get there in no time. X"
In the next couple of days i we will be working to put James in control of the page and funds raised.
As James has along recovery ahead of him the funds raised will mostly be used for his rehab expenses at this stage and he plans to hopefully the remainder back to St Vinnies, the hospital that saved his life, which is amazing gesture.
James is doing well at this point and getting stronger every day and will keep you posted with his progress.
UPDATE : 15/7/14
Great news today everyone. James has been discharged from hospital and is now recovering with the wonderful care of his mother at his place in Bondi.
Its early days and its going to be a long and slow road to recovery but it has been great to see him go for his first walks since the accident. Small steps but in the right direction. James has alot of physio and rehab to come but long term they are positive for a strong recovery.
James and the Pester family are overwelmed and so grateful for the massive show of support. Its amazing what we have achieved and everyone should be extremly proud of themselves.
Thank you to everyone who shared this page and help make it happen!
Please note that the site only accepts Paypal and credit cards.. Debit cards have not been working" (2/7/14)
As many of us have already heard, James Pester is in critical condition in St Vincent’s Hospital after receiving a sickening Blow to his temple while contesting a header in Club Soccer match on Sunday Afternoon 29/6/14.
James was rushed to Hospital where he is currently in an induced coma in the Intensive Care Unit. While he is stable he is in a very serious situation as the extent of damage is still been assessed through Scans and operations.
James Parents have dropped everything and flown from the UK to be by his side arriving first thing this morning 1/7/14.
The costs of James medical bills, Family’s flights and accommodation and rehabilitation costs will surely be immense so we have created this page so we can all show our support to James and his family through this very difficult time.
I encourage everyone to give from their hearts what ever they can. Any amount makes a difference!
All donations go directly to James and the Pester Family and will be used for whatever cause or what ever way they see fit... They have not asked for this fundrasier, this is purely from our hearts to James...
Just remember… If it was you in this situation, this page would have been set up for you too… and people you have never met or heard of you would be donating to your cause…
Our thoughts and prays are with James and his family though this very tough time and we all wish James a speedy and healthy recovery.
